Personal style for your portable restroom
A temporary restroom does not have to be the same boring portapotty you have grown accustomed to. Add a splash of style to your rental with your own personal touch:
  • Add a floral arrangement to interior
  • Place greenery around the outside of the restroom to disguise unfavorable characteristics
  • Fragrances can help stimulate the users' senses and detract from any less stimulating fragrances
  • Add baskets full of various toiletries, one for the gentlemen and one for the ladies. Include such items as body spray or perfumes, lotions, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. Be creative!

How can I accommodate guests that have special needs or small children?
Not all restrooms are easily accessible for guests that have special needs nor are they compliant with federal standards. Not all restrooms have enough interior space for parents to accompany their children into the bathroom. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved portable restrooms offer the perfect solution in these situations and can be used regardless of limitations. It is generally recommended that for every four non-ADA temporary toilets that there be one provided, or as the Americans with Disabilities Act requires, 5% of all restrooms on site be wheelchair accessible, or a minimum of one per order. Having an ADA portable restroom at your event will allow for easier use with increased interior space providing easy access for all guests!

What guidelines are there for the winter season?
Due to the fact that certain portable restrooms include amenities that use fresh water, they are prone to freezing and damage in the winter months. To protect against freezing during the winter season. Johnny On The Spot uses a salt-water mixture. The salt-water mixture may leave a white residue in certain instances, which is completely normal and sanitary. Rentals that use fresh water such as hand washing stations and Celebrity/Deluxe models are not able to be used due to the freezing of the various mechanisms within the restroom. It is recommended that these portable restrooms be exchanged for ones that do not need to operate on fresh water until the cold temperatures subside. Winterization of portable water system holding tanks are also available and strongly recommended in the winter months. The winterization package includes insulation and an electric heating pad all wrapped in plastic sheeting to protect the tank from freezing.
